Software Engineer II – C#/.Net

About the role

You will join an agile team within JPMorgan Chase’s Neovest division to design, develop, and maintain secure, stable, and scalable software components for the firm’s technology products. The position offers the chance to grow your engineering skills while working on multi‑threaded C#/.NET applications and leveraging AI‑assisted development tools.

Key responsibilities

• Write secure, high‑quality code in C#/.NET with limited guidance and perform technical troubleshooting.
• Design, develop, and test software components while considering upstream and downstream system impacts.
• Utilize enterprise‑authorized AI coding assistants for code generation, refactoring, unit test creation, and documentation, validating outputs through peer review and automated testing.
• Apply CI/CD, application resiliency, and security practices throughout the software development life cycle.

Required profile

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with at least 4 years of applied experience.
• Hands‑on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability in a large corporate environment.
• Experience using AI‑assisted development tools and understanding responsible AI use in engineering workflows.
• Exposure to agile methodologies and the full software development life cycle.

Required skills

• C# and .NET (including multi‑threaded application development).
• AI‑assisted development tools for coding, testing, and documentation.
• CI/CD pipelines and application resiliency practices.
• Database querying languages (SQL) and experience with data caching technologies such as Redis or Hazelcast.
• Message distribution systems like RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies.
