Software Engineer (Fullstack)

About the role

Join Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology as a Full‑Stack Software Engineer focused on the music supply‑chain platform. You will work primarily on backend services (≈70%) and also contribute to frontend features (≈30%) that enable robust data integration between music metadata systems and downstream applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain end‑to‑end applications supporting the music integration workstream.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to build APIs, data pipelines, and event‑driven architectures.
• Write, test, and review code, break down features into tasks, and participate in agile planning.
• Monitor application health, performance, and reliability in AWS‑based environments.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in SQL, relational data modeling, and query optimization.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Experience working in agile, collaborative teams.

Required skills

• Java and JVM ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Integration).
• React fundamentals, hooks, state management (Redux/Context/Zustand), React Router, Jest, React Testing Library.
• AWS services (EKS, ECR, S3, RDS, VPC, messaging).
• Kubernetes container orchestration.
• CI/CD pipelines, unit/integration/functional testing.
• API design and integration, OAuth, authentication/authorization.
• Event‑driven architecture, Kafka, RabbitMQ, SNS.
• PostgreSQL performance tuning.
