SOC Leader (Security Operations Center Manager)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive SOC Leader to drive our Security Operations Center, manage client services, and mentor a team of engineers based in India. The role involves daily SOC support, threat detection strategy, and direct interaction with client C‑suite executives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly strategic meetings with client CISOs to present SOC performance, milestones, and security posture improvements.
• Oversee daily SOC operations, incident response workflows, and continuous monitoring to meet SLAs and performance benchmarks.
• Design, test, and deploy custom detection use cases mapped to the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Identify upsell opportunities for additional security services, tools, or expanded SOC coverage.
• Direct and mentor a dedicated team of security engineers in India, fostering continuous learning.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience leading a SOC team.
• Proven ability to engage with C‑level stakeholders, especially CISOs, and present executive‑level reports.
• Strategic and commercial mindset with a track record of identifying upsell/cross‑sell opportunities.
• Experience leading or working closely with offshore technical teams.

Required skills

• Strong practical experience with the MITRE ATT&CK framework for threat hunting and use‑case engineering.
• Hands‑on knowledge of AI‑driven SIEM/XDR platforms such as Cortex XDR, LogRhythm, or Exabeam.
• Experience with vulnerability management tools, specifically Tenable (Nessus/Tenable.one).
• Familiarity with Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions.
