Senior Systems Engineer (Service Provisioning)

About the role

NuNu is building a unified internal platform that controls the lifecycle of more than 3,000 micro‑services. As a Senior Systems Engineer you will design and implement a cloud‑native control plane that enables safe, automated provisioning and deployment of services across multiple regions and accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop a dynamic infrastructure control plane decoupled from fixed topology.
• Implement mechanisms for large‑scale, safe rollout of infrastructure changes across thousands of applications.
• Eliminate manual, high‑friction steps in provisioning workflows and resolve systemic issues such as circular dependencies.
• Create a robust configuration and manifest generation process integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve developer experience and support Nubank’s scaling targets.

Required profile

• Strong infrastructure‑first mindset with deep experience on AWS and Kubernetes (EKS).
• Software development background, comfortable writing production code in Java, Python or Go.
• Proven ability to work autonomously in ambiguous, high‑scale environments.
• Experience with distributed systems, queues and concurrency.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, high‑agency attitude.
