Senior Supply and Logistics Specialist

About the role

The Senior Supply and Logistics Specialist will support the Supply & Logistics Project Manager in developing and executing study‑specific supply chain strategies for clinical trial materials. This role ensures that clinical supplies are sourced, stored, and distributed efficiently while meeting regulatory standards and client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Project Manager to design logistics concepts and supply chain solutions aligned with project profitability and client satisfaction.
• Maintain up‑to‑date study scope, timelines, and budgets, proactively communicating risks or changes.
• Manage study‑specific tools, documents, and resource allocation to meet project requirements.
• Oversee Pass‑Through Cost (PTC) management, reporting internal service fees and external provider expenses.
• Develop and implement clinical supply, sourcing, and distribution strategies, ensuring all documentation is complete.
• Negotiate scope of work with third‑party providers in coordination with procurement.
• Plan inventory levels, create supply schedules, and adjust based on clinical team feedback.
• Identify and drive process improvements, mentoring junior supply specialists and assistants.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical or clinical research industry, preferably in clinical logistics.
• Proven project‑management background within biopharmaceutical environments.
• Strong client‑focused mindset with excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization and support team members.

Required skills

• Proficient use of the Microsoft Office suite.
• Good understanding of GxP regulatory frameworks.
• Basic project‑management competencies.
