Senior Strategy & Market Consultant – Power Systems (Relocation)

About the role

We are looking for a senior consultant to lead strategic planning and market analysis for power systems within Saudi Aramco’s Downstream Power Systems Planning Department in Dhahran. The role involves shaping the company’s power investment strategy, advising on fuel mix, and influencing policy reforms.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct short‑ and long‑term electricity demand forecasting and evaluate generation mix options.
• Analyse market trends such as fuel prices, energy‑transition policies, and macro‑economic indicators to support strategic decisions.
• Benchmark the competitive landscape against local, regional and international utilities.
• Prepare and present strategic plans, risk assessments and recommendations to senior management.
• Lead ad‑hoc task forces and provide expert advice on energy, utility planning and crude oil placement strategies.
• Mentor and develop junior team members in market analysis and power‑systems planning.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Engineering or a related field.
• Extensive experience in utility planning, power‑systems strategy or integrated resource planning.
• Proven ability to work independently on complex studies with minimal supervision.
