Senior Software Engineer – Machine Learning

About the role

The Walt Disney Company is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a strong focus on Machine Learning to join its Content Platforms Engineering team. You will help build and enhance backend capabilities that power Disney’s media supply chain, supporting iconic brands such as Disney+, ESPN+, Hulu, and Marvel.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product and technology teams across the globe to deliver AI‑enabled solutions.
• Design, prototype, and scale backend systems that incorporate computer vision, machine learning, and Large Language Models.
• Apply best practices to optimise LLM performance for both experimental and production use cases.
• Document technical decisions, trade‑offs, and learnings throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Stay current with AI/ML advancements and evaluate new techniques for potential adoption.

Required profile

• Senior‑level software engineer with a proven track record in AI/ML development.
• Hands‑on builder and systems thinker capable of turning concepts into functional prototypes quickly.
• Strong collaborative mindset, able to work with product managers, data scientists, and other engineers.
