Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Cassandra & AWS

About the role

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will modernize and scale a high‑traffic customer‑data caching platform, ensuring reliability, performance, and resiliency across distributed systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and operate highly available, fault‑tolerant distributed caching systems and evaluate architecture for 6× traffic growth.
• Develop automated CI/CD pipelines with rolling, blue/green or canary deployments and enforce infrastructure‑as‑code practices.
• Establish monitoring, alerting, observability, SLIs/SLOs and error budgets for latency, throughput and availability.
• Automate operational tasks, reduce manual intervention, and lead blameless post‑incident reviews.
• Collaborate with Java/Spring Boot engineers, architects and client teams to deliver platform improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in SRE, DevOps, platform engineering or similar production infrastructure roles.
• Advanced English proficiency for working with US clients.
• Proven ability to work independently, own ambiguous problems and provide technical leadership.

Required skills

• Apache Cassandra (data modeling, replication, multi‑datacenter deployments).
• Amazon Web Services (cloud‑native architecture).
• CI/CD pipeline design (GitLab CI/CD preferred) and deployment strategies.
• Infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform or similar).
• Observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
• Event‑streaming technologies (Kafka, Amazon MSK).
• Kubernetes and containerization.
• Java/Spring Boot development (strongly preferred).
• GraphQL and API gateway concepts (strongly preferred).
