Senior Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Senior Site Reliability Engineer to keep FileScience reliable for customers across LATAM. You will work closely with the engineering team to detect silent failures, improve monitoring, and enhance production reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Define and track reliability metrics (SLIs/SLOs) for product availability and backup jobs.
• Add logs, metrics and traces to make failures easier to find, build useful alerts and reduce noise.
• Lead incident response by maintaining tools, escalation paths and runbooks, and ensure incidents are resolved and prevented.
• Build checks to verify that each customer's backups run correctly and can be restored, and work with product engineers on recovery testing.
• Automate recurring operational tasks, improve deployment safety, and verify changes with rollback paths.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience keeping production systems reliable, including incident response and continuous improvement.
• Strong AWS troubleshooting across services, networks, containers, storage, queues and databases.
• Experience building observability, SLOs, alerts, runbooks and recovery tests in production.
• Ability to read, debug and modify production Python code and create dependable automation.
• Clear written and spoken English, good organization and independent problem‑solving.
