Senior Security-Focused Software Engineer

About the role

Satellogic is seeking a senior software engineer with a strong security focus to join its Satellite & Ground Station Software team. The role will involve developing and maintaining platform applications for hardware‑constrained satellite and ground‑station systems, and shaping the core software architecture with an emphasis on security.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain flight and ground‑station software for satellite subsystems.
• Define and evolve the security architecture of the satellite and ground‑station platforms.
• Collaborate with hardware and subsystem teams to ensure high‑integrity, secure software integration.
• Identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities throughout the software lifecycle.
• Contribute to the overall core platform development as responsibilities expand.

Required profile

• Proven experience in developing embedded or low‑level software for satellite or similar hardware‑constrained environments.
• Strong understanding of security principles and ability to apply them to system architecture.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setting, preferably based in Buenos Aires, with openness to Córdoba or other locations.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a collaborative mindset.

Required skills

• Experience with secure software design and threat modeling.
• Familiarity with embedded systems development.
• Knowledge of satellite or ground‑station software ecosystems.
