Senior QA Automation Engineer

About the role

Proxify is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to lead the quality assurance strategy for a high‑growth client. You will design and implement scalable automation frameworks, integrate them into CI/CD pipelines, and act as a developer‑in‑test to ensure reliable, fast releases.

Key responsibilities

• Define the automation roadmap, select tools that match the client’s tech stack, and build frameworks from scratch (e.g., Page Object Model, Screenplay).
• Write, maintain, and optimise end‑to‑end integration and regression test suites for web, API, and mobile applications.
• Integrate automated tests into pipelines using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Jenkins and collaborate with developers and product managers on “Definition of Done”.
• Identify, document and track defects, driving rapid resolution with the development team.
• Promote testing best practices, conduct code reviews for test scripts and mentor the team as a quality evangelist.

Required profile

• 5+ years of test‑automation experience with modern frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress or Selenium.
• Strong coding skills in TypeScript/JavaScript, Python or Java and proven ability to build scalable automation frameworks.
• Extensive experience testing RESTful and GraphQL APIs and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands‑on mobile automation experience (Appium or Maestro) and familiarity with performance testing tools (k6, JMeter) is a plus.
