Senior Python Backend Engineer, Financial Systems

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Python Backend Engineer to design and operate the core financial systems of our AI‑driven platform. The role is fully remote and focused on building high‑performance services that power payments, billing, and real‑time decision making for our customers in Argentina or Brazil.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python services and MCP servers that orchestrate AI agents, including tool layers, context handling, and model routing via OpenRouter.
• Build integration backbones for payments, identity, e‑signature, and real‑time data pipelines with low latency.
• Design and implement rules engines and configuration runtimes that enable customers to launch new products without code changes.
• Migrate enterprise data onto the platform, ensuring zero data loss through importer pipelines and batch reconciliation services.
• Scale multi‑tenant batch systems for nightly settlement runs, document pipelines, and asynchronous workers.
• Define public APIs consumed by AI agents and external services, supporting rapid endpoint delivery.
• Implement financial subsystems such as billing, payouts, commissions, and refunds.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of Python web development, preferably in financial or SaaS environments.
• 3+ years with SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and Django or similar frameworks.
• 2+ years building and consuming APIs for financial transactions.
• Daily use of agentic AI coding tools (Claude, Cursor, Codex) for complex, multi‑file tasks.
• Strong mathematical background for financial modeling and data processing.
