Senior Project Engineer – Manufacturing

About the role

As a Senior Project Engineer at PMI, you will provide technical leadership for complex, strategic projects within our manufacturing facilities. You will ensure projects align with PMI standards, drive performance excellence, and support the company’s transition to a smoke‑free future.

Key responsibilities

• Lead execution of high‑complexity projects, delivering on approved business cases, timelines, and cost targets.
• Act as a technical reference and mentor for Project Engineers, sharing best practices.
• Ensure safe, compliant project execution in line with sustainability, environmental, health and safety standards.
• Apply Project Management (IM) methodologies to guarantee quality, efficiency and consistency.
• Contribute to CAPEX planning, budget control and cash‑flow targets.
• Conduct feasibility studies, engineering evaluations and planning activities supporting factory objectives.
• Maintain product and process quality standards according to PMI requirements.
• Promote standardisation, continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with stakeholders to secure alignment and successful delivery.
• Support knowledge sharing, onboarding and technical development within the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or equivalent).
• At least 5 years of experience in engineering or technical environments with proven complex project execution.
• Strong background in Project Management; formal PM knowledge is a plus.
• Advanced English communication skills (written and spoken).
• Strong analytical abilities and stakeholder management.
• High focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement.
