Senior Manager – Contracting Risk & Independence

About the role

PwC is seeking a Senior Manager to lead contracting risk and independence initiatives for its US client base. The role combines legal expertise with strategic risk management to ensure contracts are compliant, mitigate legal exposure, and support business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the drafting, review, and negotiation of complex service contracts.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual, legal, and commercial risks.
• Collaborate with Risk & Independence teams and business units to develop internal controls and compliance frameworks.
• Educate stakeholders and clients on contract provisions and risk implications.
• Redline and negotiate terms with client procurement, legal counsel, and external advisors.
• Lead and coach a diverse team, fostering high performance and inclusive culture.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years managing increasingly complex contract negotiations.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems, make sound judgments, and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong communication and coaching skills, with a track record of building high‑performing teams.
• Commitment to professional standards, independence requirements, and PwC’s code of conduct.
