Senior Kafka/AWS Integration Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Kafka/AWS Integration Engineer to build and productionize an event‑driven middleware platform using Apache Kafka and AWS. The role is fully remote and involves close collaboration with a Lead Integration Architect and an Agile sprint team.

Key responsibilities

• Provision and configure Amazon MSK clusters, Kafka topics, and schema registry.
• Develop REST‑based event ingress with API Gateway and Lambda to receive Salesforce events and publish them to Kafka.
• Build Java stream‑processing applications and integration pipelines for data transformation and delivery.
• Implement dead‑letter queues and error‑handling patterns for reliable processing.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated tests, and infrastructure as code using CloudFormation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong hands‑on Java development, especially for backend and stream processing.
• Experience building production‑grade event‑driven and Kafka‑based systems.
• Proficiency with AWS services and serverless architectures.
• Advanced written and verbal English communication skills.
