Senior Fullstack Engineer – AI Data Infrastructure

About the role

Scale is building the data infrastructure that powers the world’s most advanced AI systems. As a Senior Fullstack Engineer you will work across backend and frontend stacks to deliver end‑to‑end solutions for robotics and autonomous‑vehicle datasets.

Key responsibilities

• Design and own large‑scale data processing pipelines for robotics and autonomous‑vehicle data.
• Develop ML training and fine‑tuning pipelines using Scale’s robotics data.
• Build tools for data collection, teleoperation, and model evaluation.
• Collaborate with robotics and AV stakeholders to translate technical needs into product features.
• Implement real‑time systems for robotic control, sensor fusion, and perception pipelines.
• Create monitoring and evaluation frameworks for model and data quality.

Required profile

• Strong programming skills in Python and TypeScript/Node.js for production systems.
• Experience with React and modern frontend development, especially for 3D interfaces.
• 3+ years of software engineering experience in robotics, autonomous vehicles, or related fields (nice to have).
• Understanding of distributed systems, workflow orchestration, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Temporal, Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience with databases such as MongoDB and PostgreSQL and large‑scale data processing.
