Senior Cloud Engineer (Azure)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure to design, automate, and maintain high‑availability cloud infrastructure for our client. You will own enterprise Azure landing zones, container orchestration, and CI/CD pipeline automation, ensuring reliability, cost efficiency, and zero‑trust security compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and deploy enterprise‑grade Azure infrastructure using Terraform or Bicep, maintaining modular IaC libraries and strict state management.
• Provision, patch, and optimize Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters, handling autoscaling, ingress routing, and service‑mesh policies.
• Design, maintain, and secure automated CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, enforcing security scanning and zero‑downtime releases.
• Enforce Azure Policy guardrails, audit IAM roles via Microsoft Entra ID, manage secret rotation in Key Vault, and mitigate vulnerabilities identified by Defender for Cloud.
• Monitor system metrics, respond to incidents, conduct root‑cause analyses, and drive cost‑efficiency through resource optimization.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on cloud engineering experience with Microsoft Azure, covering compute, networking, and storage.
• Advanced mastery of Terraform or Bicep for multi‑subscription automation and drift detection.
• Proven experience building, securing, and scaling AKS clusters and deploying applications with Helm charts.
• Deep knowledge of Azure security governance, including Entra ID, Key Vault, Azure Policy, and RBAC under a Zero Trust model.
• Located in CET timezone (±3 hours) and able to work remote full‑time.
