Senior Attorney - Labor Matters

About the role

IBM Legal is seeking a Senior Attorney with deep expertise in Labor & Employment Law to serve as a strategic partner for its operations in Argentina and Uruguay. You will provide pragmatic legal advice, support business growth, and ensure compliance across a range of technology contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Act as primary advisor on individual and collective labor law matters, supporting HR and Labor Relations teams.
• Advise on hiring, terminations, disciplinary actions, internal policies, and emerging regulations.
• Manage labor disputes, union negotiations, and oversee related litigation with external counsel.
• Ensure compliance with local labor laws and IBM corporate policies.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts for technology products and services (consulting, SaaS, cloud, AI).
• Collaborate with Procurement on vendor agreements and support new business initiatives by identifying legal risks.
• Handle corporate governance tasks, including board minutes, statutory compliance, and corporate records.
• Coordinate and manage external law firms and develop proactive risk mitigation strategies.

Required profile

• Law degree with active bar admission.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in Labor & Employment Law, either in‑house or at a top‑tier law firm.
• Proven track record handling labor disputes and complex negotiations.
• Additional experience in commercial, corporate law, and the technology sector is a strong plus.
