Senior Associate, Import Administration

About the role

Newell Brands is seeking a Senior Associate to manage import and export operations in Buenos Aires. The role ensures accurate documentation, compliance with Argentine customs regulations, and smooth coordination with brokers, freight forwarders, suppliers, and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and monitor import and export transactions, preparing invoices, packing lists, BL/AWB, certificates of origin, licenses and permits.
• Submit documentation to customs brokers and logistics partners, track shipments, and update ERP and database records.
• Evaluate performance of customs brokers, freight forwarders and transportation providers, and review supplier invoices, freight costs and duty payments.
• Prepare monthly accruals, cash‑flow updates, support internal audits and regulatory requirements, and flag operational deviations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Trade, International Business or a related field.
• Experience in import/export operations, international logistics or customs, with knowledge of Argentine customs, Incoterms and non‑tariff regulations.
• Intermediate English proficiency and strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Intermediate Excel skills.
• Familiarity with SAP (preferred).
