Senior Architectural Lighting Designer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Architectural Lighting Designer to lead the design of lighting systems for U.S.-based projects. The role combines strong technical expertise with proactive project ownership to deliver high-impact, code-compliant solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design integrated architectural lighting systems and develop detailed lighting layouts.
• Coordinate electrical circuiting, perform load calculations, and ensure compliance with NEC and other U.S. codes.
• Produce shop drawings, construction documents, and other technical deliverables.
• Perform lighting design calculations and support fixture and specification coordination.
• Create realistic renders and visualizations to communicate design intent.
• Work with low-voltage and Class 2 systems, ensuring proper power coordination.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary project teams and take ownership of assigned deliverables.

Required profile

• 8–12+ years of experience in architectural lighting design.
• Architectural background with deep knowledge of lighting systems.
• Proven experience on U.S. projects and fluency in English (C1+).
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to propose solutions with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Ability to perform lighting calculations and develop accurate technical documentation.
• Experience creating realistic lighting renders for presentations.
• Knowledge of low-voltage, Class 2 requirements, and NEC compliance.
