Senior Application Security Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to design and implement automated security layers across the software development lifecycle for a large‑scale financial services program. You will work with Python and Java to deploy AI‑enabled secure code scanning, harden baseline automation, and integrate security tooling into CI/CD pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Engineer and deploy AI‑enabled secure code scanning capabilities and “Golden Images” to promote secure‑by‑design development.
• Automate secure coding patterns and embed them into traditional and agentic SDLC workflows.
• Architect and integrate continuous security scanning tools (SAST, DAST, SCA) into enterprise CI/CD pipelines, tuning them to reduce noise.
• Act as a senior technical SME, reviewing complex Java/Python code and providing detailed remediation guidance to development teams.

Required profile

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on application security and DevSecOps.
• Proficiency in Python for security automation and Java for code review and hardening.
• Hands‑on expertise deploying and tuning modern application security testing tools (SAST, DAST, SCA) within complex CI/CD ecosystems.
• Ability to work autonomously and build automated security runbooks without daily supervision.
• Upper‑intermediate English communication skills.
