Senior Android Developer (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Android Developer to join a leading fintech payments company. You will own the full software development life‑cycle, from design through delivery, building secure, high‑performance Android applications in a fully remote, agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain complex Android apps using Java and Kotlin.
• Drive feature development from requirements to production, ensuring performance, security, and reliability.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, QA, and other engineers to create technical designs and break down work into manageable tasks.
• Mentor junior developers, promote best practices, and enforce 100% code‑review coverage.
• Write unit and functional tests and support QA in functional automation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Critical thinking, attention to detail, and a proactive, team‑player attitude.

Required skills

• Native Android development with Java and Kotlin.
• MVVM and modern Android architecture patterns.
• Experience with popular Android libraries and third‑party device integration (e.g., wearables, payment terminals).
• Secure coding practices, build obfuscation, and encryption (HTTPS, TLS, SHA‑256, CBC).
• Understanding of client‑server full‑stack architecture and Pub/Sub or Producer/Consumer messaging patterns.
