Senior AI Engineer

About the role

Carefull is building AI‑powered tools to protect older‑adult customers from financial fraud. As a Senior AI Engineer you will design, implement, and evaluate detection systems that monitor transactions and alert families when suspicious activity occurs.

Key responsibilities

• Design and ship AI‑driven fraud detection features from prototype to production.
• Build data enrichment pipelines that transform noisy financial transaction data into structured inputs.
• Develop reproducible evaluation frameworks (test sets, metrics, error analysis) to measure model performance.
• Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and deliver fixes quickly.
• Collaborate with Customer Care, Go‑to‑Market, and partner teams to align technical solutions with user needs.

Required profile

• Strong Python programming skills and experience building production data pipelines.
• Hands‑on experience with LLM applications, including prompting, structured outputs, and provider SDKs/APIs.
• Comfort deploying and operating services on a cloud platform.
• Demonstrated ability to measure model performance using precision, recall, and error analysis.
• Curiosity about the US financial system and fraud typologies affecting seniors.
