Senior Accountant – Accounting & Reconciliation Support

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to manage weekly, bi‑monthly, and month‑end accounting processes. The role is focused on remittance reconciliations, system imports, data entry, and recurring reconciliations, allowing senior team members to concentrate on analysis and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Save, rename, and replace remittance files using standardized naming conventions.
• Copy and paste payment data, mark client invoices as paid, and reconcile bank/remittance files for multiple client accounts.
• Import remittance files into accounting or workforce systems and upload vendor invoices.
• Prepare and send reconciliation issue summaries to operations.
• Perform manual reconciliations for key client and bank accounts on a weekly, semi‑monthly, and monthly basis.
• Assist with system imports, credit‑card statement processing, aged receivable exports, prepaid expense data entry, and month‑end roll‑over verification.
• Prepare working papers for bank reconciliations and payment batches for senior review.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in accounting assistance, bookkeeping, or reconciliation.
• High attention to detail and ability to follow checklists and SOPs.
• Reliable with consistent weekly deadline adherence.
• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar.
• Strong spreadsheet skills (copy/paste, basic formulas, sorting, filtering).
• Experience with workforce management or billing platforms is advantageous.
