Security Manager

About the role

Catalyst Capital is seeking a Security Manager to own and evolve the security program across its brands. This hands‑on leadership role combines strategic direction with direct technical work, reporting to the Head of Technology and briefing leadership monthly.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the security strategy and roadmap for all brands, reporting posture and risk to leadership.
• Lead end‑to‑end incident response, keep runbooks current, run tabletop exercises and produce actionable post‑mortems.
• Manage and grow the security team, including a Security Engineer, as the company scales.
• Write, enforce and audit security policies (access control, data handling, vendor review, incident response) and prepare for SOC 2 audits.
• Own email security, phishing simulations, brand protection takedowns, and platform account‑takeover defenses.

Required profile

• 5+ years in security with at least 2 years leading a security function in a 100‑plus employee company.
• Proven live incident‑response leadership and experience building security programs from scratch.
• Background in crypto, fintech or other high‑fraud industries.
• Comfortable working fully remote with teams across multiple time zones.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with SIEM platforms.
• Endpoint protection and email security solutions.
• Identity and device management tools.
• Scripting/automation for security tasks.
