SAP Basis Performance Consultant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Performance Consultant to act as a performance advisor for complex SAP landscapes. This advisory position focuses on analysing environments and delivering expert recommendations that optimise system performance and support large‑scale SAP initiatives such as migrations, carve‑outs, upgrades and transformations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse SAP system landscapes and identify performance bottlenecks.
• Provide expert recommendations on system configuration, optimisation and external tool compatibility.
• Review architecture across SAP versions and database platforms.
• Guide best practices for system performance tuning and data‑volume management.
• Support planning activities for data migrations, carve‑outs, upgrades and transformations.
• Collaborate with technical and functional teams to align recommendations with project goals.
• Offer input on database‑level considerations for Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and SAP HANA.
• Assist in analysing ABAP‑related performance issues.

Required profile

• Strong background in SAP Basis architecture and performance optimisation.
• Experience with multiple SAP versions (ECC, S/4HANA, etc.).
• Deep understanding of Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and SAP HANA databases.
• Working knowledge of ABAP performance analysis.
• Proven involvement in SAP projects that include data migrations, carve‑outs and system upgrades.
