Remote Bookkeeper for Legal Firm

About the role

Geraci LLP, a nationally recognized law firm serving private lenders, is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join the team remotely. The role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the firm’s accounting function while collaborating closely with attorneys and external accountants.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date financial records and classify daily transactions.
• Reconcile bank, credit‑card, and balance‑sheet accounts.
• Process vendor invoices, monitor accounts receivable, and prepare client invoices.
• Utilize Clio to manage billing records and ensure consistency with QuickBooks.
• Process payroll through Gusto, review payroll reports, and handle employee reimbursements.
• Prepare monthly bookkeeping reports and assist external accountants during month‑end and year‑end close.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with U.S. bookkeeping practices, preferably in a legal environment.
• Detail‑oriented and able to work independently in a fast‑paced setting.
• Strong understanding of compliance and internal controls for legal accounting.
