About the role

We are seeking a strategic, creative, and hands‑on communications professional to lead internal and external communications across the Americas region. Reporting to the Americas Regional HR team, you will shape the regional communications agenda and ensure business priorities, transformation initiatives, and people‑related topics are translated into clear, consistent, and engaging messages.

Key responsibilities

  • Own and drive the regional communications agenda and strategy for the Americas.
  • Act as a communication bridge between Global, Regional, and Business Unit teams, ensuring alignment while allowing local adaptation.
  • Develop regional communication plans, campaigns, messages, toolkits, presentations, FAQs, talking points, and town‑hall materials.
  • Lead and support internal and external initiatives related to culture, engagement, transformation, recognition, compliance, talent, and business priorities.
  • Advise regional leaders on messaging, tone, timing, stakeholder impact, and reputational considerations.
  • Support organizational change and transformation initiatives through clear, timely communication.
  • Coordinate channels such as newsletters, intranet platforms, Teams, digital screens, town‑halls, social media, and other relevant outlets.
  • Assist crisis communication preparedness, including protocols, key messages, Q&As, and holding statements.
  • Partner closely with HR and business leaders on people‑related communication, employee engagement, culture, leadership communication, and change management.
  • Measure communication effectiveness and use feedback to continuously improve impact.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in corporate, internal, or employee communications.
  • Experience working in a regional or multi‑country environment, preferably advising senior leaders.
  • Background in operational, industrial, logistics, maritime, transport or port‑related sectors is a strong plus.

Required skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop (desirable).
