Region AFC Coordinator – South America

About the role

The Region AFC Coordinator South America will lead the Administration, Finance & Control functions for the Argentinean entity and support projects across the region. This senior position ensures accurate accounting, compliance, and effective cash management for large industrial and EPC projects.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee local accounting, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Accounting, ensuring compliance with Group policies and Argentine regulations.
• Supervise daily bookkeeping, payments, supplier/client queries, internal reporting, inter‑company reconciliation, credit collection and cash‑flow forecasting.
• Coordinate monthly, quarterly and year‑end closing activities, review reconciliations and guarantee the completeness of accounting records and reporting packages.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and Group reporting under local GAAP and IFRS, liaising with external auditors and local advisors.
• Manage cash flow, liquidity forecasts, banking activities, inter‑company settlements and foreign‑exchange exposures in close collaboration with Finance structures.
• Collaborate with the Group Trading Department to produce internal reports and support commercial activities.

Required profile

• Fluent in Spanish (mandatory) and English.
• Proven experience managing finance functions for large industrial, EPC, energy, oil & gas or petrochemical construction sites.
• Deep understanding of South American construction environments, contractors and regulatory frameworks.
• Comfortable working in multicultural, international project teams.
• Willingness to travel and support projects across Argentina and other South American countries as needed.
