Quality Auditor

About the role

Athena Care Homes is looking for a Quality Auditor to lead its internal audit programme across seven residential nursing homes in East Anglia. Reporting to the CEO, you will ensure regulatory compliance and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver six‑monthly whole‑home audits and targeted thematic reviews for all care homes.
• Produce clear, evidence‑based audit reports, identify compliance risks and agree practical action plans with Home Managers.
• Monitor progress against audit actions, escalating significant risks and ensuring timely resolution.
• Analyse compliance data and governance information to spot trends and support organisational reporting.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of legislation, regulatory requirements and best practice.

Required profile

• Experience in compliance, governance, quality assurance or auditing within the adult social care sector.
• Strong understanding of CQC, Health & Safety, Environmental Health and PAMMS regulations.
• Proven ability to conduct audits, produce professional reports and use digital compliance systems.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly between sites.
