Project Engineer – Automation Systems

About the role

Rockwell Automation is seeking a Project Engineer to lead the maintenance, development, and commissioning of automation systems for customer facilities, including offshore operations. The role is based in Buenos Aires and requires on‑site presence as well as periodic offshore assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and upgrade automation systems, technical documentation, and software at customer sites.
• Perform offshore field services and systems‑engineering tasks for process and safety systems, HMI, instrumentation, and industrial networks.
• Design moderate to complex system architectures for new projects and evaluate existing systems for upgrades.
• Execute all development phases: requirements gathering, detailed design, software development, factory testing, and commissioning/start‑up.
• Support installation and commissioning of industrial automation systems and networks in the field.

Required profile

• Engineering degree.
• Previous experience as an Industrial Automation Maintenance Engineer using Rockwell Automation products.
• Experience installing and commissioning automation systems and networks.
• Background in Oil & Gas or related industries.
• Residency in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with availability for 14/21‑day offshore rotations.
