Project Director – CLP1.5 Stage 1 (Mining & Industrial)

About the role

Eramine Sudamérica SA, a subsidiary of the French mining group Eramet, is seeking a senior Project Director to lead the CLP1.5 Stage 1 project in Salta, Argentina. The role covers the full project lifecycle from definitive feasibility study through construction, commissioning and start‑up.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the execution strategy, align Owner’s Project Team and ensure clear governance.
• Maintain full accountability for a USD 350‑400 million CAPEX budget and schedule, reporting performance to senior management.
• Supervise engineering, procurement, construction, operational readiness and permitting activities, coordinating with EPC contractors and consultants.
• Lead risk identification, mitigation and arbitration between production constraints and project priorities.

Required profile

• Engineering degree with at least 20 years of experience in large‑scale industrial or mining projects (>USD 300 M).
• Proven track record delivering major projects on time and within budget.
• Experience in hydrometallurgy, lithium or chemical process industries is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership in multicultural, international environments and understanding of brownfield constraints.
