Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Procurement Specialist will lead the acquisition of indirect goods and services essential for the launch and growth of OMODA & JAECOO in Argentina. You will establish procurement processes, build strategic supplier relationships, and ensure cost‑effective, high‑quality sourcing in a fast‑moving, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement: supplier sourcing, RFQs, evaluation, negotiations, purchase orders, and contract management.
• Identify, qualify, and develop local and international suppliers.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, commercial conditions, and service agreements.
• Ensure timely procurement of office facilities, IT equipment, furniture, marketing materials, logistics services, professional services, travel, fleet management, and general administration.
• Collaborate with Finance, HR, IT, Marketing, Sales, Logistics, After‑Sales and other areas to capture purchasing needs.
• Monitor supplier performance on quality, delivery, responsiveness, and service levels.
• Identify cost‑optimization opportunities and drive process improvements.
• Maintain compliance with procurement policies, internal procedures, and local regulations.
• Maintain procurement documentation, supplier database, and purchasing records.
• Support budget planning, cost control, and prepare procurement, supplier performance, and savings reports.
• Participate in ERP implementation and procurement process standardisation.
• Assist with contract administration and supplier performance reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of procurement or purchasing experience in the automotive industry (mandatory).
• Proven experience in supplier sourcing, strategic procurement, supplier management and contract negotiations.
• Experience supporting start‑up operations or rapidly growing organisations is an advantage.
