PLC Engineer

About the role

As a PLC Engineer you will design, program and maintain industrial automation systems using PLC technology. You will collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure reliable and efficient control processes across manufacturing environments. The role is fully remote and offers a full‑time commitment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain PLC programs for automated production lines.
• Analyse system requirements and translate them into robust control logic.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in PLC‑controlled processes.
• Integrate PLCs with SCADA, HMI and other industrial systems.
• Perform testing, commissioning and validation of automation solutions.
• Ensure system reliability, safety and performance optimisation.
• Produce and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in PLC programming and industrial automation.
• Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, etc.).
• Fluency in English.
• Customer‑oriented mindset and ability to work in Agile or structured project environments.

Required skills

• PLC programming (Siemens, Allen‑Bradley, Schneider).
• SCADA and HMI systems (WinCC, FactoryTalk, Ignition).
• Industrial communication protocols: Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation and control panels.
• Familiarity with industrial networks and field devices.
