Perimeter Security Engineer – Remote

About the role

We are seeking a Perimeter Security Engineer to join a leading global audit, consulting and technology firm. The role is fully remote and focuses on protecting the organization’s network boundaries across cloud and hybrid environments.

Key responsibilities

• Support, maintain and monitor global perimeter security infrastructure and network access controls.
• Configure and troubleshoot firewalls, secure web gateways and enterprise VPN solutions.
• Analyze network traffic to detect, mitigate and remediate boundary security threats.
• Enforce Zero‑Trust security controls across cloud and on‑premise environments.
• Manage incidents and change requests following strict SLA and ITIL processes via ServiceNow.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in network security or perimeter operations within enterprise settings.
• Relevant certifications such as PCNSA/PCNSE, Fortinet NSE, CCNA/CCNP Security or CompTIA Security+.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with firewalls and gateways: Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, Zscaler, Cisco Umbrella.
• Proficiency in VPN technologies, routing, DNS/DHCP and cloud network security groups (Azure, AWS).
• Familiarity with security monitoring tools: Splunk, Nagios, Microsoft Security Center.
• Knowledge of ITIL incident and change management processes, preferably using ServiceNow.
