Operations Support Engineer – Workshop & Procurement

About the role

The Operations Support Engineer ensures smooth operation of purchasing, stores, and workshop functions. You will manage resource allocation, equipment tracking, and certification while maintaining safety, efficiency, and cost‑effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate workshop, logistics, stores, and purchasing activities to meet internal and external customer expectations.
• Liaise with operational supervisors to align equipment resources with demand.
• Assist procurement of goods and services, develop supply sources, and drive cost‑saving initiatives.
• Maintain stock levels, rotation, cycle counting, and reporting in stores.
• Review and update maintenance, stores, and purchasing procedures regularly.
• Promote inter‑company and inter‑base cooperation for resource sharing.
• Participate in meetings on operational issues, policy updates, and safety topics.
• Record incidents, conduct investigations, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure HSE procedures are communicated to employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Verify that equipment, plant, and substances are suitable, serviced, and in good condition.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years experience in workshop support, stores, or procurement functions.
• Engineering qualification or equivalent technical background.
• Strong computer literacy with MS Office; AutoCAD knowledge is desirable.
