Onboarding Coordinator – HR Operations

About the role

TransPerfect is seeking an Onboarding Coordinator to manage the end‑to‑end onboarding experience for project‑based hires across the United States and Canada. You will act as the primary liaison between new hires, recruiters, HR, and payroll to ensure a smooth and compliant start.

Key responsibilities

• Process high volumes of onboarding for project‑based employees, including profile setup in the HRIS.
• Request, verify, and file all required new‑hire documentation.
• Own the onboarding timeline to meet payroll submission deadlines.
• Coordinate with managers and new hires on project start‑up preparations.
• Answer queries on onboarding, timecards, policies, and paid sick leave.
• Handle unemployment claims, employee verification requests, and off‑boarding for project staff.
• Prepare and distribute payroll‑related reports (new hires, terminations, hours).
• Provide general HR administrative support and direct complex issues to appropriate HR partners.

Required profile

• Administrative experience, preferably in HR or recruitment.
• High accuracy and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• Strong independent work ethic and ability to collaborate with global teams.
• Excellent oral and written communication in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using HRIS tools.
