Node.js Developer – Cloud Middleware

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Node.js Developer to join our team and support a leading U.S. restaurant brand. You will work on a highly scalable cloud architecture that powers mobile apps, websites, kiosks, and delivery operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and extend a unified Node.js middleware layer for seamless API integration across multiple applications and services.
• Build and maintain API Gateway and Backend‑for‑Frontend (BFF) components, ensuring secure, high‑performance communication.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and GraphQL services, implement reliable asynchronous workflows, and optimise data exchange in distributed systems.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional development experience.
• Advanced backend/middleware development using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Strong background building API Gateways, BFF layers, or middleware orchestration.
• Deep knowledge of API integration patterns (REST, GraphQL) and asynchronous operations.
• Hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform.
