Network Smart Hands Engineer – Onsite Support

About the role

We are looking for a Network Smart Hands Engineer to provide on‑site technical support for a range of hardware and basic networking equipment. You will work directly at customer sites, collaborating with remote technical teams to ensure smooth operation of desktops, servers, and network infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver on‑site Smart Hands support for desktops, laptops, monitors, peripherals, cabling, projectors, telephones and site‑security devices.
• Perform hardware installation, replacement, troubleshooting and routine maintenance.
• Assist data‑center operations and application‑infrastructure activities.
• Diagnose and resolve basic network issues involving switches, routers and firewalls under remote guidance.
• Configure routers and switches as instructed by the remote technical team.
• Support hardware integration and OS/network customisation under supervision.
• Maintain awareness of backup, tape and Exchange infrastructure.
• Document work performed and submit clear service reports.
• Coordinate with remote technical teams and customer stakeholders while following defined processes.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in PC, laptop and peripheral hardware support.
• Understanding of basic networking concepts (switches, routers, firewalls).
• Fluent in the local language of the deployment country and able to communicate in English with remote teams.
• Completion of the mandatory 1‑hour Nutanix Hardware Replacement training with a minimum 90 % score.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Experience supporting data‑center environments is a plus.
