Middle Accountant – Accounts Payable (Argentina)

About the role

We are seeking a Middle Accountant to join our global shared services Accounts Payable team supporting operations in Argentina. The role focuses on accurate payment processing, expense verification, and month‑end closing while collaborating with internal stakeholders and local statutory accountants.

Key responsibilities

• Review expenditure documentation to ensure accounting accuracy.
• Organize and execute vendor payments, including domestic and international wires, batch and individual transactions.
• Post company expenses in line with US GAAP, covering accounts payable and banking activities.
• Complete monthly account‑closing activities in SAP following internal procedures.
• Partner with local statutory accountants to resolve bookkeeping issues.
• Provide clarifications and supporting documentation to Senior or Lead Accountants.
• Handle inquiries from internal and external stakeholders, attend meetings, and prepare audit documentation.
• Contribute to IT‑led process improvement initiatives, identify optimization opportunities, and support testing of new processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 2 years of professional accounting experience.
• High attention to detail and strong commitment to compliance.
• Proactive ownership of assigned tasks and ability to work within established guidelines.
• Motivation for continuous self‑development and skill growth.
• Collaborative mindset with experience in multicultural teams.
• English proficiency at B2+ level (written and spoken).

Required skills

• Hands‑on proficiency with MS Office, especially advanced Excel for analysis and reporting.
• Practical experience with SAP for accounting activities.
