Mid-level Android Engineer – Mobile Apps

About the role

Join a large‑scale digital transformation initiative in the financial services sector, building modern, customer‑centric mobile applications that serve millions of users. As a Mid‑level Android Engineer you will design, develop, and maintain high‑quality Android apps using the latest technologies and architectural best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Android applications following MVVM and Clean Architecture principles.
• Create responsive user interfaces with Jetpack Compose and Material Design theming.
• Integrate RESTful services using Retrofit and OkHttp, handling data serialization with Kotlinx Serialization or Moshi.
• Manage application state with ViewModel, StateFlow, and SharedFlow, and apply Kotlin Coroutines for asynchronous processing.
• Write unit tests (JUnit) and UI tests (Compose Testing, Espresso) and use mocking frameworks such as Mockito or MockK.
• Implement dependency injection with Hilt/Dagger and configure build scripts using Gradle (KTS).
• Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams in Buenos Aires to ensure performance, scalability, and security of the mobile banking solutions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of commercial Android development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin (1.9.x or later).
• Deep understanding of MVVM, Clean Architecture, and common design patterns (Factory, Singleton, Repository, Observer).
• Hands‑on experience with Jetpack Compose, Material Design, and state management.
• Proven ability to work with Kotlin Coroutines, Flow APIs, and dependency injection frameworks.
• Located in the CABA/AMBA (Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area) for close collaboration with the local team.
