Microsoft Teams Junior Technical Lead

About the role

Join EY Global Delivery Services as a Microsoft Teams Junior Technical Lead, supporting the Teams platform and providing secondary Messaging and Exchange Online support for a worldwide user base.

Key responsibilities

• Support technical ownership of Microsoft Teams, ensuring consistent configuration across Teams Admin Center, PowerShell, and provisioning systems.
• Design, enforce and manage global and country‑level Teams policies, including meetings, messaging, apps, external access and large‑scale policy transitions.
• Validate Teams provisioning outcomes, troubleshoot configuration inconsistencies and act as a point of contact for developers requesting Microsoft Graph API permissions.
• Monitor federation and external access usage, coordinate domain removals and maintain governance visibility.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations and Microsoft on feature enablement, pilot programs and readiness validation.
• Provide secondary support for Exchange Online and Outlook, handling incident triage, mailbox and mail‑flow investigations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology or Business.
• Approximately 3 years of experience in a comparable technical role, ideally 3–6 years in Microsoft 365 administration.
• Experience troubleshooting Teams and Exchange Online/Outlook issues in an enterprise‑scale environment.
• Strong stakeholder coordination and clear technical communication skills.

Required skills

• Microsoft Teams administration (Teams Admin Center, policies, PowerShell).
• Understanding of Teams architecture, federation and external access.
• Microsoft Entra ID fundamentals and app registration.
• Microsoft Graph API permissions knowledge.
• PowerShell scripting for reporting and bulk management.
• Exchange Online administration and mailbox lifecycle management.
• Mail flow fundamentals, transport rules, connectors and message trace.
• Outlook client knowledge and Exchange Online dependencies.
• DNS, MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC basics.
• ITSM workflow experience (ServiceNow preferred).
