Medical Writer - Patient Recruitment

About the role

As a Medical Writer focused on patient recruitment, you will translate complex medical information into clear, accessible content that empowers patients to make informed health decisions. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams within IQVIA and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Dive into scientific literature and source documents, distilling complex ideas into patient‑friendly content.
• Craft accurate, grammatically sound materials while adhering to timelines and budget constraints.
• Work closely with internal teams, clients, and healthcare professionals to gather comprehensive briefs and address queries.
• Tailor content for diverse educational needs and target audiences.
• Navigate feedback from clients and authors, ensuring a balanced, professional approach.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry standards and SOPs.
• Own your workload, anticipating capacity challenges.
• Contribute to cost‑effective solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a Life Science, Medical, Communications or Marketing field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in writing or related roles, or equivalent education/training.
• Experience writing for patients or non‑medical audiences.
• Passion for making complex information clear to the public.
• Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).
• Ability to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• Use of research tools and interpreting scientific data.
• Experience with AI tools (optional).
• Strong medical writing skills with an eye for detail.
