Medical Data Review Manager – Rheumatology

About the role

IQVIA is seeking a Medical Data Review Manager specialized in rheumatology to work remotely on a global scope. The role involves reviewing structured clinical patient data to ensure medical plausibility, protocol adherence, and readiness for further review.

Key responsibilities

• Identify anomalies in patient‑reported data and coordinate investigations with clinical sites.
• Verify inclusion and exclusion criteria for each patient’s eligibility.
• Assess dosing records for protocol compliance and detect missed or inaccurate doses.
• Review adverse events, concomitant medications, and medical history for plausibility and protocol alignment.
• Confirm end‑of‑treatment and end‑of‑study documentation and determine reasons for trial discontinuation.
• Evaluate laboratory results for completeness, schedule adherence, and potential safety signals.
• Collaborate with other medical review staff to verify information and triage data issues.
• Participate in kick‑off meetings, weekly team meetings, and client meetings as required.

Required profile

• Medical degree with rheumatology specialization (physician qualification mandatory).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in clinical research, either at a research site or with CRO/pharmaceutical companies.
• Experience as a Sub‑Investigator or Principal Investigator is relevant.
• Advanced English proficiency and strong communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize competing tasks, and maintain strong customer focus.
• Proven motivational, influencing, and coaching abilities.
