Mechanical Engineer / Designer (MEP, Revit, AutoCAD)

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Designer / Engineer with at least three years of experience in MEP design for building projects. This remote, near‑shore position supports a U.S.‑based architectural engineering firm working on retail, workplace, hospitality, restaurant and other commercial environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop mechanical drawings, layouts and technical documentation using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Support HVAC and mechanical system design for commercial, workplace, retail, hospitality and restaurant projects.
• Perform mechanical load calculations, ventilation calculations, psychrometric analysis and equipment sizing.
• Prepare energy‑compliance documentation with tools such as COMcheck or Title 24.
• Read, interpret and implement mechanical design documentation and project requirements.
• Assist with MEPF site‑survey documentation and reporting when required.
• Review submittals, shop drawings and RFIs.
• Coordinate with internal engineering teams, architects, owners, consultants and other stakeholders.
• Participate in remote coordination meetings and communicate clearly in English.
• Manage assigned tasks, deadlines and deliverables with limited supervision.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience as a Mechanical Designer or Mechanical Engineer in an engineering consulting environment for U.S. firms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Familiarity with mechanical codes and standards such as IMC, IECC and ASHRAE 90.1.
• Professional or conversational level of English and ability to work remotely with U.S. teams.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines independently.
