Logistics Manager - Argentina

About the role

Met T&S, the employment company of the MAIRE group, is recruiting a Logistics Manager for Argentina. The role coordinates local project logistics, focusing on project cargo, OSHL shipments, customs clearance under the Incentive Regime for Large Investments (RIGI), port/storage/site interfaces and final delivery to site. It reports to the Project Logistics Manager and the Logistics Head of Department in Italy.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate Argentina-based logistics for general cargo, critical cargo and OSHL items, supervising RIGI import formalities and local delivery from port, airport, border crossing, storage or yard to site.
• Coordinate shipments with freight forwarders, customs brokers, port operators, warehouses, transport subcontractors and site representatives, keeping transportation aligned with construction priorities and the project schedule.
• Track cargo from arrival to delivery, close shipments with proper documentation and proactively identify bottlenecks such as port congestion, customs delays or site access issues.
• Act as focal point for OSHL cargo, coordinating route surveys, method statements, lifting requirements, permits and escorts, and supporting site teams on delivery priorities and unloading windows.
• Monitor freight forwarders, customs brokers and local subcontractors, ensure customs compliance with Argentine regulations and escalate issues affecting schedule, cost or compliance.
• Keep construction teams informed of arrivals, access and storage constraints, and prepare action lists, risks and mitigation plans.
• Identify risks early, prepare alternative plans and challenge extra-cost claims to optimise costs.

Required profile

• Fluent Spanish (mandatory) and English.
• Experience managing large industrial, EPC, energy, oil & gas, petrochemical or infrastructure construction sites.
• Understanding of South American construction environments, contractors and regulations.
• Comfortable in multicultural, international project teams and willing to support projects across Argentina and the region.
