Lead Networking Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Network Rapid Response Engineer you will lead the NRR team in incident and problem management, driving major incident resolution, incident reduction and mentoring engineers. You will combine processes, tools and DevOps practices to create engineering solutions for complex operational challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Lead incident and problem management for production network services, including major incident response and post‑incident analysis.
• Develop and implement mitigation plans, collaborate with Tier 4/Product Engineering, lines of business and vendors.
• Drive continuous improvement of network operations through process, tool, and automation enhancements.
• Mentor and coach team members, fostering a high‑performing, 24×7 support environment.
• Communicate technical findings and status updates to senior management and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in production and infrastructure support of enterprise networks.
• Strong knowledge of risk, controls and compliance standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a client‑focused, collaborative setting.
• Experience leading teams through high‑profile incidents and delivering post‑mortem reports.

Required skills

• Routing and switching (Cisco ASR/GSR/Nexus, Juniper).
• Load balancers (F5).
• Firewalls (Check Point, Fortinet).
• Proxies (Blue Coat).
• Network monitoring and analysis tools (NetFlow, Riverbed, Wireshark, cPacket, SevOne, ThousandEyes).
• LAN/WAN/Wireless network design and troubleshooting.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, JNCIP, Fortinet NSE) preferred.
