Lead Extend Developer

About the role

Kainos is looking for a Lead Extend Developer to head a team of specialist consultants delivering Workday Extend solutions. You will work closely with customers to design, build, and support cloud‑based applications on the Workday Extend platform.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of Extend consultants on project delivery.
• Scope, gather requirements, document, implement, deploy and support Extend applications.
• Build strong relationships with customers to ensure solutions are fit‑for‑purpose and commercially viable.
• Guide, develop and educate colleagues within the Workday practice on Extend best practices.
• Present solutions to senior client audiences and manage expectations.

Required profile

• Proficiency with XML, REST, SOAP, JSON and an object‑oriented language (preferably J2EE/Java).
• Experience designing applications to solve business and technical problems.
• Good understanding of cloud computing, web services and associated challenges.
• Strong customer focus, commercial awareness and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
