Junior HSE Analyst (Environmental)

About the role

Trafigura is hiring a junior HSE Analyst for its HSEC/ESG function in Argentina, based in the Buenos Aires office. The role supports the business in HSE data quality management, reporting and environmental regulatory compliance, ensuring ESG and environmental data is traceable, backed by transactional documentation and validated internally so that it meets CSRD requirements and audit consistency.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, review and ensure the quality of ESG and environmental data across local operations
• Make sure all ESG data is traceable, documented and uploaded to the corporate platform, validated internally and aligned with CSRD requirements
• Support environmental data collection and documentation for new prospects and expansion projects, including Phase I and Phase II due diligence
• Support HSE regulatory compliance control through continuous corporate monitoring and close coordination with operational sites
• Prepare periodic reports and support internal and external audits
• Coordinate with operational areas and external consultants and laboratories to meet documentation deadlines and standards
• Identify and help implement improvements to data processes, including new technologies and AI solutions

Required profile

• Degree or advanced studies in Environmental or Chemical Engineering, or a related field such as Natural Sciences or Geology, or another engineering degree with a specialisation in Environmental Management
• Strong willingness to learn and develop
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong organisational skills, able to coordinate multiple sites and tasks in parallel

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Comfortable with technology and data tools; interest in automation and AI is a plus
• English proficiency
