IT Security Systems Engineer

About the role

Solvd Inc. is seeking a Security Engineer to design and secure a modern, cloud‑first environment for a fully remote/hybrid workforce. You will own security across endpoints, SaaS platforms, and access controls, leveraging scripting and AI to build scalable operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead security strategy for a 100% remote/hybrid workforce, focusing on identity as the new perimeter.
• Own Conditional Access policies and security workflows, automating onboarding, off‑boarding, and real‑time posture enforcement.
• Use AI and LLMs to automate repetitive tasks and solve complex security challenges.
• Manage device security for macOS and Windows and configure SaaS services such as Rippling, Office 365, and Salesforce.
• Implement Zero Trust access, DLP policies, and SSO enforcement across all vendor platforms.
• Ensure compliance with SOC 2, HIPAA, and GDPR requirements.

Required profile

• Strong logical problem‑solving mindset, able to build security guardrails from first principles.
• Highly proficient in scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) and committed to automation.
• Experienced with AI tools to augment coding, documentation, and troubleshooting.
• Independent and comfortable owning the full IT security lifecycle end‑to‑end.
